Another excellent week at Cannock despite the non attendance of Tella FC and Featherstone Rovers. I will be contacting them to make sure that they will be back for the next set of fixtures on the 7th January 2009 or they will be removed from the league and replaced by one of the teams on the waiting list.

I must remind all teams that they are not permitted to wear blades or studs on the pitch and players will be asked to leave the field of play if they are found to be wearing inappropriate footwear.

CANNOCK LEISURE LEAGUES ROUND-UP
WEDNESDAY

Ioksane were the stars of the show in the Wednesday Premier Division after they cruised through to a 5-0 victory over Farselona.

Cannock Warriors moved two points clear at the summit thanks to the result, along with their own 3-2 success against Shire Oak Re-United.

Cillit Bang cleaned up this week in Division One after their 4-0 win over Calibre, whilst leaders Burntwood Brazil opened up a three point gap at the top with a 4-2 success over Euro FC.

Weasle FC belied their lowly position in the Second Division table with a 9-0 dismissal of Cannock Legends, and The B’s were on cloud nine in Division Three with a 9-1 win over Cannock Spartans FC.
